GETTING READY FOR YOUR PRIVATE 2 HOUR SURF LESSON
We are so excited to welcome you to our 2023 season. Please see below some useful and important information ahead of your session. If you are returning - we look forward to seeing you again and if you are new - we look forward to meeting you.

Please make sure you arrive atleast 15 minutes before the scheduled start time - as soon as the group are ready they will head to the beach and if you miss the safety briefing you will not be able to join the lesson.

Every participant will need to complete our medical form ahead of the lesson.

You will find us just a few minutes off the M4

We are based near the middle slip of the beach in between Cafe Remo's and the Aberavon Surf Life Saving Club

Local parking is available at a small cost.

FINDING US
GETTING READY

Please ensure you arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time

On arrival please make yourself known to a member of staff who will check you in and provide you with a wetsuit if needed

Once you have your wetsuit you will find surf stations set out 2 meters apart

Any accompanying adult/spectators must stand outside of the surf station and keeping 2m distance from any other persons

Your surf station will be set up with a board and a basket which will include your rash vest

All equipment will be disinfected before and after use for your safety

There are no changing rooms available so we recommend you wear your swimsuit under your clothes so that you can change on your surf station, using a towel if needed

Once changed you can place your belongings into your basket and we will store them for you or you can chose to store in your vehicle/leave with family member
HEADING TO THE BEACH

Time to head to the beach, you can pair up if required with one person at the front and one person at the back of the boards - keeping 2m distance between you.

Any spectators are welcome to head down to the beach but must ensure they keep a 2m distance at all times

Your boards will then be placed in a semi-circle, 2m away from others for the safety briefing and surf demonstrations

Please ensure you keep 2m from others at all times - on the beach/in the water

If you need assistance on the waves in the water then your instructor may be able to help - please ask for assistance. 2m distance will be kept at all times
AFTER YOUR LESSON

At the end of the lesson you will head back up to your surf station where your tub bucket will be waiting for you

Please place the board back at your surf station, remove your wetsuit and place it in the basket along with the rash-vest

Our staff will then remove the equipment after you have left ready for them to be deep cleaned
