Service Description

Kids Surf Club, sponsored by Tata Steel – 4 week surfing course at Aberavon Beach Port Talbot. Available for kids age 8-16. Regular surf club designed to develop children surfing ability, fitness and awareness of the sea in a friendly, fun and encouraging environment. Suitable for those who are being introduced to surfing for the first time and those who have surfed before. If conditions are unsuitable we reserve the right to postpone the lesson until a later date – no refunds will be given in such a scenario. Full course has to be booked. Refunds will not be given if you cannot make one of the sessions. All equipment is provided - wetsuit and surfboard. It’s recommended that parents/guardians stay for the duration of the sessions in the event that the child needs any assistance to/from the beach. What our Surf Club covers: -learning safe practice in the water -learning to paddle a surfboard -catching broken waves -riding prone -learning to pop up -riding a surfboard with correct stance. -learning to turn on a surf board -catching and popping up on a clean unbroken wave. -paddling a surfboard through broken waves
